Late Sunday night, the traditional closing ceremony took place at Stade de France, attended by around 80,000 spectators. The event was marked by performances from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, colorful lights, fireworks, art displays, and dance routines. During the ceremony, Los Angeles was officially handed the responsibility of hosting the next Olympics in 2028.

Thomas Bach, the head of the Olympic Committee, and Tony Estanguet, the head of the Paris 2024 Olympic Committee, delivered speeches. Phoenix and Kunski also captivated the audience with their outstanding performances.

After the responsibility for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics was passed on, Tom Cruise, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Billie Eilish, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and H.E.R. entertained the crowd with their performances. Expectations for the next Olympics have been raised even higher. Los Angeles will be hosting the Olympic Games for the third time, and it promises to shine brightly in 2028.

The Olympic flame was officially extinguished by Thomas Bach, alongside athletes and French swimmer Léon Marchand, marking the formal end of the 33rd Summer Olympic Games.
